Bedrijfsprofiel - CTGB

CTGB, Ede

Omschrijving

Biocides are, for example, agents against mosquitoes or fungi in the bathroom, but also preservatives and disinfectants. They will not be put on the market without the approval of the Ctgb in Ede. As a team leader, you support the project leaders who guide applications for the authorization of biocides through the assessment processes. An impactful job that contributes to the safety of people, animals and the environment.

This is what you are going to do

You aim for the right balance between budget, time and content and you give your team the frameworks for consistent working methods. Together with your fellow team leader of the crop protection assessment process, you coordinate the frameworks with your manager of College Advice and Project Planning. Within these limits, you place responsibility for the progress of the assessment process with the project leaders. You give them feedback and sometimes hold up a mirror to them. And you are their sparring partner and source of information. An important role, because the Board for the Authorization of Plant Protection Products and Biocides (Ctgb) decides on the basis of legislation and regulations.

You ensure that your team works according to the annual plans and you report on this to the management. You prioritize projects where necessary. You make your own decisions about simple admissions. Think of administrative applications or the extension of an authorization on procedural grounds. You also issue trial exemptions, so that resources can be used temporarily. If there are complaints about the assessment process, you help to resolve them. For example, you explain to applicants within which frameworks we work. Or discuss the costs for an application with the Finance department.

So plenty of variety in your work! With plenty of room to lead your team according to your own vision. You do not only have an eye for processes and budgets. But also for the person behind your project leaders. Just like the Ctgb, you attach great value to the well-being of your people and their knowledge development. In this way you arrive at optimal assessment processes and decisions together in a field with social impact.

About the Board for the Authorization of Plant Protection Products and Biocides

We are an independent administrative body that performs unique tasks: we assess, in accordance with international agreements and criteria anchored in legislation, whether plant protection products and biocides – when used correctly – are safe for humans, animals and the environment. And whether they work. Based on this assessment, we decide whether drugs may be sold and used in the Netherlands. We also require clear regulations, which must at least appear on the label.

It is therefore not surprising that our employees have a high level of specialist knowledge. In our informal, flat organization we attach great importance to the well-being of our people. In this way we encourage you to continue to develop yourself through, for example, training and education. You have the opportunity to participate in or speak at European conferences. And you can organize your working hours flexibly.
