Scientist Myeloid Biology (36 - 40 hrs/wk)

The team:
The pre-clinical team is responsible for characterizing bispecific antibody lead candidates and uncovering their mechanisms of action. Joining Merus means joining our pursuit to develop advanced therapies that address unmet needs in cancer treatment.

The role:
As a Scientist Myeloid Biology, your main tasks and responsibilities are the following:

  • Designing and executing well-controlled experiments in vitro and in vivo;
  • Collaborating closely with other research organizations and institutions;
  • Delivering results in a timely manner;
  • Recording and communicating findings;
  • Overseeing multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Propagating skills and knowledge to other team members.

We are looking for an experienced scientist with deep expertise in macrophage/myeloid biology, with the following knowledge and expertise:

  • You hold a PhD in cell/myeloid biology or a related field;
  • You have a minimum of 2 years' postdoctoral experience;
  • You have broad experience and demonstrated competence in molecular and cell-based assays;
  • You have effective communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • You are a highly collaborative scientist who works well in teams;
  • You work independently and effectively in a highly dynamic setting;
  • You are focused on quality and solution-driven.
