They offer a unique combination of reagents and laboratory services to help their customers speed-up their research. The product portfolio you will be dealing with as an account manager consists out of a broad variety of products.

Role DescriptionAs an account manager you will be in charge of all existing and new customers within The Netherlands. You will work together with the office staff under supervision of the sales manager.
The activities of an account manager include prospection based on leads provided by the organisation, and your own field experience (or knowledge of the market players).
you will maintain relations with all existing and new contacts by phone and visits. As a rule of thumb it can be expected to spend 60% of the time in the field.

Contacts you will deal with consist out of PI (Principal Investigator) to the research engineer or the laboratory manager. In smaller companies the contact person will most likely be the CSO (Chief Scientific Officer).

ResponsibilitiesThe account manager:
- Will analyze the potential of your customers and prospects, and execute the sales plan based on this analysis and set priorities
- Define, in consultation with the sales manager, a sales plan to systematically generate sales
- Accompanies the relevant leads until the ordering and satisfaction
- Cooperates with the various departments, especially customer engagement, purchase and logistics and the offices to optimize time & territory management and customer satisfaction
- Contacts the customers and prospects within his/her territory to understand and fully meet their expectations

Requirements- A bachelor or masters degree in Biology or a comparable degree.
- Knowledge of techniques related to cell culture, antibodies and molecular biology.
- 1 year + Sales experience.
- A sales oriented mindset with ambition for the best results.
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- A valid drivers license
